She holds three Post Graduate Degrees namely, MA- Sociology, MA- Public Administration and LLM. A Doctorate in law, she is a Professor and Head of the Department of Law, Dr.Ambedkar College, Deekshabhoomi, Nagpur.
Her core areas of research are in the field of Gender Issues, Domestic Violence against women, Human Rights, Child Rights, Rights of the Elderly, Surrogacy and Corporate Laws. She has published two books on law namely, “Unorganized Women Workers and Social Security” published by Satyam International, N.Delhi and A Commentary on “Marriage and Divorce Laws in India” published by All India Reporter Ltd.
